David Alekhuogie is a photographer and artist based in Los Angeles. His first monograph, A Reprise (Aperture, 2025), remixes Walker Evans’s photographs of African art to raise timely questions about authorship and authenticity.

The twenty-eighth edition of Paris Photo will return to the historic Grand Palais, on the banks of the Seine. The fair will take place from Thursday, November 13, through Sunday, November 16, with a preview day on Wednesday, November 12.

This exciting annual trip provides the highest Collectors’ Circle access to the fair, as well as an array of exclusive activities curated by Aperture. Programming available to Aperture’s guests includes guided tours of Paris Photo with featured artists, studio visits with renowned Parisian photographers, a curator-led private museum tour, and a festive cocktail party and dinner with Aperture’s extended family of artists, writers, curators, and supporters.

Artist Anastasia Samoylova will lead attendees through her exhibition, which brings together her own photographs of Florida—captured since 2016—with the work of Walker Evans (1903–1975), a pioneering figure in American documentary photography. This dialogue between past and present highlights Samoylova’s engagement with Evans’s legacy while shedding light on pressing issues such as climate change, gentrification, and political extremism.

Following the walk-through, attendees are invited to continue the conversation over drinks and light refreshments at the American Wing Café.
